Systems Limited to Acquire British American Tobacco’s IT Services Unit

Systems Limited (PSX: SYS) has announced the acquisition of British American Tobacco SAA Services (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of British American Tobacco International Holdings (UK) Limited, according to a stock exchange filing released on Wednesday.

The acquired company delivers IT-enabled shared services across a range of functions, including customer support, marketing, human resources, finance, procurement, and supply chain management — catering to clients worldwide.

This acquisition is in line with Systems Limited’s strategic objective to expand its footprint in the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector and diversify its global service offerings.

The company’s Board of Directors approved the transaction during a meeting held on July 29, 2025, with a Share Purchase Agreement signed the same day. The deal remains subject to regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

In a parallel development, Systems Limited’s UAE-based affiliate, Techvista Systems FZ LLC, has signed a multi-year Master Services Agreement with Accenture (UK) Limited. Under this agreement, Techvista will serve as a subcontractor, leveraging the newly acquired entity to deliver AI-powered global shared services.

This acquisition and partnership mark a significant step forward for Systems Limited, strengthening its global position in tech-enabled services and showcasing its commitment to digital transformation and innovation.
