Today marks a historic milestone for freelancers throughout Pakistan, SadaPay, a Pakistani Fintech company, now facilitates Freelancers in Pakistan by enabling invoicing through Apple Pay. Sadpay introduced the SadaBiz business account tailored for freelancers earlier this year, has unveiled that SadaBiz users can now accept payments through Apple Pay.
This announcement took place during SadaPay’s inaugural SadaSummit held at COLABS. The event drew attendance from IT industry veterans, influential figures in the freelancing community, and early adopters of SadaBiz. In addition to the Apple Pay integration, the agenda featured panel discussions and fireside chats brimming with optimism about Pakistan’s future as a global freelancing hub.
Apple Pay, with a user base of 550 million, has surpassed PayPal’s 450 million users. Not only that, but the transaction volume via Apple Pay is four times greater than PayPal’s and is growing rapidly. Apple Pay has a massive reach, with over 2 billion iPhones worldwide equipped with this payment method. SadaPay recognized the significance of this for the Pakistani market and its freelancers, providing a popular and trusted payment channel for their clients to make payments easily.
SadaPay also disclosed that SadaBiz will now accept payments through Google Pay, which is on a similar trajectory in terms of global user adoption. SadaPay has bridged the gap left by international payment companies that have long overlooked the Pakistani market. As a result, SadaPay has connected Pakistani freelancers to over 700 million devices worldwide that have access to Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Another significant revelation from the event was their brand-new initiative – SadaSchool. According to their CEO, Brandon Timinsky, this initiative is designed to benefit the talented youth in Pakistan. This free platform offers Masterclasses that guide individuals from novice to expert levels in freelancing, along with a Discord community for peer support and mentorship. They’ve established a network of experts and thought leaders who regularly conduct workshops to share their knowledge in areas like graphic design, copywriting, programming, and other high-income skills. With SadaSchool, SadaPay’s aim is to empower Pakistan’s digital generation to leave a lasting impact on the global gig economy.
